Advertising terms

Terms for companies that advertise in the Cenu Depo app, and the ad policy we check every ad against. In force from 31 October 2026.

Version 2026-10-31. Earlier versions are available on request.

1. Who we are

Cenu Depo (cenudepo.lv) is a price comparison app for iOS and Android phones. Ads in its free version are sold by ThinkWorks, SIA (“we”): companies buy them from us directly in our ads account (cenudepo.lv/ads/management/).

These terms are the contract between ThinkWorks, SIA and the advertiser. An advertiser is a company or sole trader buying ads for its business; we do not sell ads to consumers. The advertiser accepts these terms in the ads account or by paying our invoice. A separate signed agreement takes precedence over them.

2. What we sell

Ads show only in the free version of the app: Pro users see no ads. The app is used in Latvia in Latvian, Russian and English.

Formats:

  • Banner (6.4:1, 1280 × 200 px): on every screen
  • Large banner (3.2:1, 1280 × 400 px): only in product lists
  • Rectangle (1.2:1, 1200 × 1000 px): only in product lists

On “Home” the ad sits in a fixed bar, so only the banner shows there.

Screens: Home, Favourites, Search, Deals, Recommendations, Categories, Cart: search, Cart: favourites and Cart: categories.

You pay only for ads that were seen. A view counts when at least half of the ad’s area was on screen for one continuous second (the IAB and MRC viewability standard). An ad that was served but not seen is free.

Each serve has at most one paid view and one click. A click opens the advertiser’s link; clicks are not charged separately.

We do not show the same campaign to the same person again within 2 minutes. In the ads account you can set a limit of views per person per day, a daily limit and a campaign budget; with a budget and an end date, spending is spread evenly over the days.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are per 1,000 seen ads, without VAT. The base price is €6.00, multiplied by the screen’s and the format’s multiplier:

Price per 1,000 seen ads, without VAT
ScreenMult.Banner ×1.0Large banner ×1.6Rectangle ×2.5
Home×1.5€9.00nono
Favourites×1.1€6.60€10.60€16.50
Search×1.2€7.20€11.50€18.00
Deals×1.3€7.80€12.50€19.50
Recommendations×1.2€7.20€11.50€18.00
Categories×1.0€6.00€9.60€15.00
Cart: search×1.4€8.40€13.40€21.00
Cart: favourites×1.3€7.80€12.50€19.50
Cart: categories×1.3€7.80€12.50€19.50

With several screens, the rate is the average of their multipliers times the format’s multiplier, rounded to €0.10. The rate is set when the campaign is created and does not change while it runs. A price change applies only to campaigns created after it.

Invoices add 21% VAT. We work with prepayment: the advertiser pays our invoice and we add the amount to the account’s balance in tokens (1 token = €0.01 without VAT). The minimum order is €150.00 without VAT.

Each view takes the campaign’s rate divided by 1,000 from the balance. A campaign stops when its budget or the account’s balance runs out; the balance never goes below zero, and views that cannot be paid for are free.

Unused balance does not expire. When an account is closed, we refund the unused balance on request within 30 days to the account it was paid from.

4. Ad review

A person checks every ad and link before it runs. A changed link goes back to review. We may reject an ad; the reason is shown in the ads account, and the advertiser can fix the ad and submit it again.

We may stop a running campaign if the ad or its page breaks these terms or the law, if an authority or a court asks us to, or after a well-founded report (see “Report an ad”). We give the reason in the ads account. An advertiser who disagrees can write to us at azsoftwarehub@gmail.com, and a person looks at the decision again.

Approval does not mean we confirm that the ad is lawful: the advertiser is responsible for its ad.

5. What may not be advertised

We do not accept ads that promote or show:

  • alcoholic drinks of any kind, including “0%” drinks of an alcohol brand, and alcohol price or discount offers;
  • tobacco, e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, herbal smoking products and their accessories;
  • medicines (prescription or not);
  • infant formula and follow-on formula (milk for babies);
  • gambling, betting, lotteries and casinos;
  • political parties, candidates, elections, referendums, or social and political issues;
  • weapons, ammunition and explosives;
  • adult (sexual) content;
  • crypto-assets, forex, CFDs and other high-risk investments, and consumer credit or quick loans;
  • illegal, counterfeit or dangerous goods and services;
  • health claims for food and food supplements that are not authorised (Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006), and weight-loss “miracle” products;
  • price claims that cannot be proven (“cheapest in Latvia”), invented “was” prices, and discounts not measured from the lowest price of the previous 30 days (Directive 98/6/EC, Article 6a);
  • hate speech, discrimination, violence or offensive content;
  • ads aimed at children;
  • ads that look like Cenu Depo’s own content (our price tags, deal verdicts such as “Real deal”, buttons, notifications or system messages), or that use our name and logo without our written consent;
  • links to pages that download files or apps without asking, contain malware, trick people into giving card details or passwords, or open something other than what the ad shows.

We welcome ads for groceries, household goods, cosmetics, pet supplies and shops’ promotions.

6. The advertiser’s obligations

  • The ad and its page are lawful, true and not misleading. The advertiser follows the Latvian Advertising Law, the Unfair Commercial Practices Prohibition Law, the Consumer Rights Protection Law, the price indication rules and the rules on food information and claims.
  • The advertiser holds all rights to the ad’s content (pictures, trademarks, texts, fonts, images of people) and allows us to store the ad, crop it to the format’s size and show it during the campaign and in reports.
  • The link uses https, works, leads to a page about what the ad shows, and that page says who the advertiser is. The advertiser is responsible for any data it collects on its page (as the controller under the GDPR).
  • The advertiser name we show under “About this ad” is the real advertiser or its brand.
  • The advertiser does not try to identify our users, use bots or fake clicks, or resell our ad space without our consent.
  • If a third party or an authority makes a claim against us because of the advertiser’s ad or its page, the advertiser covers our losses, fines and reasonable costs, as far as the law allows.

7. How ads are labelled and chosen

Every ad carries a visible “Ad” label (“Reklāma”, “Реклама”) and an “About this ad” sheet that names the advertiser and the main reasons the person sees it.

Ads never change prices, the order of products, search results, deal verdicts or notifications. Paid placement exists only in the marked ad slots.

We choose an ad by the screen, the category it shows, the app’s language and the platform. By the preferences set in the app (gender, price level, interests) we choose only for users who agreed to personalised ads; other users never get such campaigns.

Alcohol, pharmacy and infant formula categories cannot be used for targeting. We do not use health data or other special categories of data, and the ads are not meant for children.

8. Reports and data

The ads account shows, per day, screen and platform, the ads served, views, clicks, CTR and spend, with a CSV download.

Advertisers never get our users’ personal data, only totals. Reach estimates are rounded to hundreds.

We invoice from our own counts. Please raise any question about the numbers within 30 days of the end of the month.

We keep view records with the app’s user id for 90 days (to prevent fraud, apply frequency limits and answer questions about the numbers); after that only totals remain.

We process the advertiser’s account, contact and payment data to perform the contract and keep it as long as accounting law requires.

9. Account

The advertiser keeps its password secret and tells us at once if someone else may know it. The password we issue must be changed at the first sign-in. We may lock an account for a while after suspicious activity.

10. Pausing and ending

The advertiser can pause or end a campaign at any time in the ads account, and close the account by writing to us.

We may stop a campaign or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, fraud, an unpaid invoice or an order of an authority; in serious cases without notice. If we end the cooperation through no fault of the advertiser, we refund the unused balance.

11. Liability

We do not guarantee a number of views or clicks unless agreed in writing; estimates in the ads account are approximate. The app may sometimes be unavailable (maintenance, app store reviews, technical faults).

Our liability for any claim is limited to what the advertiser paid us in the 3 months before the claim and does not cover lost profit or indirect losses, except where the law does not allow such a limit (intent or gross negligence).

Neither party is liable for failing to perform because of force majeure.

12. Report an ad

If you think an ad in the Cenu Depo app is illegal or breaks these terms, tell us: in the app, open “About this ad” and choose “Report this ad”, or email azsoftwarehub@gmail.com with the advertiser, where and when you saw the ad, and why you think it is illegal.

A person looks at every report. If the ad breaks the law or these terms, we stop it. If you gave us your email, we tell you what we decided.

13. Point of contact

Single point of contact for authorities and users (Digital Services Act, Articles 11 and 12): azsoftwarehub@gmail.com. Languages: Latvian, English and Russian.

14. Changes

We may change these terms. We email advertisers about changes that affect them at least 14 days in advance, and the new version must be accepted in the ads account; after that it applies to all campaigns. Rates of campaigns already created do not change.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are first settled by negotiation, then by the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
